I don’t know what it is about San Francisco, but that city is magical. It’s lively, it’s colorful, and it’s beautiful. Spending yet another weekend there (I lived in the city for a summer a couple of years ago), I was able to explore different parts of the city and see new things.
And I got to see “Hamilton!” It was so beautiful — I have to admit, I wasn’t very familiar with the story of Alexander Hamilton so I had to look it up during the show’s intermission, but the musical is very unique. The whole thing is rapped in verse with maybe one or two lines in actual dialogue. The set was minimalistic and had a rotating platform, which they used in all sorts of amazing ways. I cried, I laughed, and I loved it. It’s true what they say — “Hamilton” is an amazing, amazing show.
After the show, we went to dinner in North Beach, a part of San Francisco that I hadn’t been to yet. I got to check out the famous Chubby Noodle (which had over an hour wait so we couldn’t dine there) and we checked out Tupelo bar. The next day, we visited Lombard Street and Coit Tower — two things I hadn’t visited in the city before.
It was another great weekend away, but now, it’s time to prepare for another week of work and the “Bachelorette” finale tonight! Who do you think Rachel will choose?
Till next time. xo
